Buying a Spare Pressure Washer Hoses?

October 16, 2015 Harrison Weston Leave a Comment

If you own a pressure washer then you might not have the ideal pressure washer hose if you are still using the one that came with the washer when you purchased. The good thing is that you can buy separate hoses for most models of pressure washer, so this will give you the ability to customize your machine to best match your requirements.

One of the problems with the standard size pressure washer hose is the length, or lack of. If you need to use the pressure washer for cleaning the roof of your home or office, you will need a much longer hose. This is when you should consider buying an additional one that has the length you need. You can connect the additional hose to the original and use it as an extension.

Different pressure washer hose types

What pressure washer hoses sizes are available?

There are a number of different lengths of pressure washer hoses available to buy. Before you go out and buy a new hose, you should establish the length that you need. Obviously you don’t want it to be too short, but also there is no point getting one that is much longer than you will ever need, as it will just get in the way when you are using it plus it will also cost you more money to buy too.

You will be able to find a pressure washer hose at the following lengths:

  • 25 feet
  • 30 feet
  • 50 feet
  • 100 feet

These lengths should give you the additional reach that you need to get the work done. If you are just working around the home, then you shouldn’t need more than 30 feet. If you have a larger property, or you need it for work on a commercial building then you might need the longer 50 feet or 100 feet hoses.

Obviously the price will increase the longer the hose gets. So it is important that you don’t buy a pressure washer hose that is much longer than you need. You should be able to get a 25 foot hose for around $20, and for a 100 foot hose, you can expect to pay around $100 for this.

Different types of pressure washer hoses

If you want a pressure washer hose just to use as an extension to your current hose you have on your machine, then you will find plenty of options available. There are several manufacturers that make universal hoses that will fit on any brand of pressure washer. Plus you will also be able to get some brand specific hoses too.

You can also buy some pressure washer hoses that come with replacement guns too. They do not cost much extra to buy with the gun, so it might be a good idea to have a spare one as they can get put through a lot of stress and pressure while they are being used. You can also buy spare guns on their own, as well as several different types of fittings for a pressure washer hose if this is all you need to buy.
