Used pressure washers may look and work good at the onset, but one should always keep in mind that whatever the product may be it is nothing like having it first hand. For many reasons a first hand piece has its advantages. First of all you have a good after sale service which sometimes is free. Secondly you have the option of either a free replacement or a full refund in case the item does not function as it is expected to.
When people go in for anything that is used, may be the price is less. There is no other advantage to this. You have an old item that may have been below good working conditions, or some part may have been broken or simply it looks old and the functioning is not as perfect as when it was new.
So bearing the pros and cons of old and new products in mind, one should make a choice between used and new. The same thing applies to used pressure washers. They come in varying models and types for heavy duty and light duty as well. The reason one acquires a pressure washer is either for domestic use or for industrial use in cleaning surfaces with stains and dirt.
One should remember that the liquid that is used in these pressure washers are hazardous and should be used with great care. If there is a leakage of liquid on the body while working with a used pressure washer, a doctor should be contacted immediately. If neglected it may cause great injury resulting in death at times.
With all these in mind one should reconsider buying a used pressure washer. There could be many reasons that the item was sold by the first buyer. It could be a leakage or some broken part and the like. The seller would try to convince you that there is nothing wrong and it’s simply that the first owner wanted an updated version.
The price may be a bit higher for a new piece but consider the lifetime of a new piece rather than an old piece. You will not enjoy the free after sales service, nor can you ask for a replacement or refund. If you are lucky to get a good old piece, its fine, but suppose you are duped into buying something that works only for a month or so?
No doubt ‘old is gold’ but that does not mean that buying old items can be treasured like gold. Stop, think and decide before you go in for a used pressure washer.
